Warren Edgar Bontrager M.D., 95, of Goshen, Indiana, passed distant January 5, 2023 astatine The Maples astatine Waterford Crossing.
He was calved April 15, 1927 successful Fairview, Michigan to Otis J. and Nora (Miller) Bontrager. He joined Edna Miller successful 1949 and they had 5 children, Beverly (Leonard) Meuti, Wyman (Wendy Wampler), Dr. Warren D. (Linda), Wesley, and Gordon (Dr. Cynthia).
He is survived by his woman Ruby (Yoder) Snyder, his children, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-children, 8 stepchildren and galore nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, woman Edna, 2nd woman Annabelle (Miller), brothers Delbert (Grace), Willard (Millie), sisters Anna (Lloyd) Strang, and Miriam (Mahlon) Gascho of Fairview, Michigan.
Warren graduated from Fairview High School successful 1945. He was a long-time subordinate of the Fairview Mennonite Church. In 1947 helium participated arsenic an MCC “Seagoing Cowboy,” transporting a shipload of horses to war-devastated Poland.
Edna shared his beardown committedness to service and unneurotic they decided to enactment toward Warren becoming a physician. To that extremity helium graduated from Goshen College portion moving full-time to enactment his increasing family. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating successful 1957. In 1960, aft an internship and 2 years of wide signifier successful Akron, Ohio, Dr. Bontrager returned to Oscoda County, Michigan, establishing his aesculapian signifier successful Mio. He continued there, retiring successful 1996.
