Apple users with certain old iPhone, iPad devices should install this security update - Fox News

Apple users with definite older generations of iPhones, iPads and an iPod are being urged to instal a caller information update. 

In a Jan. 23 notice, Apple highlighted the interaction of a precocious discovered vulnerability picked up by Google's Threat Analysis Group.

The tech elephantine said that processing "maliciously crafted web contented whitethorn pb to arbitrary codification execution."

"Apple is alert of a report that this contented whitethorn person been actively exploited against versions of iOS released earlier iOS 15.1," it said.

Now, the iOS 12.5.7 update is disposable for affected devices. 

Those devices see the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and the sixth-generation iPod touch.

Two updates were announced successful December: iOS 15.7.2 and iPadOS 15.7.2.

Apple antecedently said that those updates to code the contented were disposable for each iPhone 6 models, each iPhone 7 models, the archetypal procreation iPhone SE, each models of the iPad Pro, the iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th procreation and aboriginal and the seventh procreation iPod Touch.
