Bright bluish crayon markings were scrawled crossed the face, arms and torso of the 230-year-old Sabrina statue astatine Croome, Worcester.
A memorial to scenery designer Capability Brown was besides defaced sometime during 8 April, the National Trust said.
The markings person been removed from the statue but enactment to cleanable the memorial is ongoing.
Carved from Coade stone, the sculpture is thought to person been made successful 1802 and depicts the Roman Naiade, Sabrina, successful a grotto which was primitively decorated with shells, coral and gems.
"We are dismayed that this has happened," said a National Trust spokesperson.
They added: "Disappointing arsenic they are, incidents similar this are precise uncommon considering the millions of visitors who bask and respect the places successful our care."
