A pupil who threw 5 eggs astatine King Charles during a sojourn to York has been recovered blameworthy of a nationalist bid offence.

Patrick Thelwell hurled the eggs towards the King and Queen Consort arsenic they arrived astatine Micklegate Bar connected 9 November. All 5 of the eggs missed.

The 23-year-old was recovered blameworthy aft a proceedings astatine York Magistrates' Court.

Thelwell, who represented himself during the hearing, admitted throwing the eggs, but helium claimed it was "lawful violence".
