Lake District village painstakingly created in miniature

More than 60 models of Lake District buildings person gone connected display, each constructed from section slate.

Retired builder Edward Robinson painstakingly constructed the miniature colony implicit 30 years.

The attraction brought 6,000 visitors annually, but successful 2021 Edward and his woman Kathleen decided they wanted idiosyncratic other to instrumentality it on.

Hotelier Jonathan Denby stepped successful and the colony was moved to the grounds of the Damson Dene Hotel, adjacent Windermere, a process which took a twelvemonth to complete.

"People are wholly enthralled and fascinated by miniature worlds, and each the enactment that goes into creating them," Mr Denby said.
