JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — An 18-year-old from Madisonville received non-life threatening injuries aft igniting an “improvised explosive device,” according to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to a residence connected the 100 artifact of West Highway 25/70 aft a telephone that a antheral was injured by an explosive device.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said erstwhile deputies arrived they recovered the unfortunate with flash burns connected his look and arms.

The unfortunate told deputies that helium made the instrumentality from gunpowder to stroke up a stump connected the residence.

The antheral was taken to UTER by Jefferson County EMS. The probe is inactive ongoing.
