A fatal canine onslaught connected a four-year-old miss successful Milton Keynes was a "tragic isolated incident" involving a household pet, constabulary confirmed.

Officers attended a location connected Broadlands successful Netherfield astatine 17:00 GMT connected Tuesday aft it was reported a canine had attacked a kid successful a backmost garden.

The kid has been named locally arsenic Alice Stones, but she has not been formally identified by police.

Thames Valley Police said nary arrests had been made.

Officers are besides moving to found the breed of the dog, which had been "humanely destroyed".
