Seventy youngsters successful the East Whittier City Whittier School District received caller schoolhouse apparel connected Tuesday, Oct. 25, astatine the Whittwood Target successful an yearly programme sponsored by  Assistance League of Whittier.

They received betwixt $90 and $110 worthy of clothing, depending connected their age. Tuesday’s buying lawsuit was the 2nd of 4 planned buying sprees.

The nine already provided covering for youngsters successful Los Nietos and South Whittier School District areas, with a 3rd lawsuit planned for Whittier City School District.

Nearly 500 children are expected to person clothes.

The nine received wealth from the Rotary Club of Whittier, Credit Union of Southern California and the Assistance League’s thrift shops to wage for the clothes.

About 20 volunteers helped astatine Tuesday’s event.
